Posting this win a little late, but I signed my first client 2 weeks ago. He used to head data science at the startup I'm at. He quit and started his own company. I'm helping him set up his base machine learning infrastructure.

Mylance's resources are incredible. From proposal templates to their rates database, I have now more than doubled my income from my full-time tech salary. The best part - I work 20% of the hours.

Just signed a 3 month contract for 20 hours a week with a healthcare company! I gave them a rate that was pretty high thinking they would bargain down, but they didn't negotiate at all. Thanks @Bradley Jacobs for the bootcamp session on fighting for your rate!

I just concluded my first paid client contract as a consultant! Big takeaways: -I had a lot to provide them as far as biz dev and new project/revenue stream analysis -I took diligent notes throughout the 2 1/2 months in a living document I shared with the CEO that ended up being 53 pages -I connected them with a strong group of people to help them move forward on new initiatives -I think I crushed it!

I landed my first $20k project last week!!! As many of you have probably experienced, since going the freelance route, I've been mentally conflicted with my decision. Did I make a mistake? Should I just go back to full time? Is my experience actually valuable? This was incredible validation that has given me confidence to continue the consulting pursuit πŸš€πŸš€πŸš€

Getting started in consulting felt like a black box

The first nine months after I left Uber consisted of me trying to navigate this box. In the training IΒ talk about the step-by-step approach to position yourself as an expert.

It's hard to pitch your services without confidence

I'll share with you the exact winning pitch IΒ use. Learn how to price, package, and pitch your experience to land your next $10,000 per month consulting client.

Legitimize and grow your consulting business

The first step is the most difficult. The Consulting Start Kit takes the guesswork out of the highest impact decisions you need to make when starting your business.

If you want the most direct path to your first consulting client, this is it.

This is the starter kit that I wish I’d had when I started that would’ve helped me avoid a ton of mistakes. This is for you if you:

Have been thinking about how to make additional income in a flexible, fulfilling way

Want to monetize your years of knowledge and experience

Have developed expertise in Marketing, Operations, Business Development, Design, Product, Sales, Data Science, or other major business function at a tech company
